JAL JEERA

Jal jeera is not only a cooling and refreshing drink in summers but also good for digestion. Because of its digestive properties it is also taken as an appetizer before meals. This tangy and spicy drink is very popular in North India, specially in peak summers. The street vendors chill it naturally in an earthen pot (Matka ) wrapped with a wet cloth and is also served in earthen cups, which gives the drink a rustic flavour. We always used to travel to visit nani during our summer vacation and this was our regular feature during the outings.. eating chaat and drinking jal jeera.
