ROASTED RED BELL PEPPER HUMMUS


Hummus is a very popular dip from Middle East.. This is a variation of the same. Made with the addition of roasted bell peppers.

Ingredients:
Chickpeas/garbanzo beans... 1 cup (boiled)
Red bell pepper/capsicum - half (roast, peel and cut)
Garlic......... 1 tsp
Lemon juice... 2 -3 tbsps
Tahini .......... 1 tbsp
Olive oil .... 2 tbsp
Salt ......... to taste
Red chilli powder/paprika/tabasco ... optional

Method:


1. Roast the red pepper in the grill or on the gas.

2. Cook it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.

3. Peel/scrape off the black skin.

4. Cut into pieces.
5. Grind all the ingredients in a food processor.
Add a little chilli powder/paprika/dash of tabasco if you like it hot.
